Brenda Williams (formerly Rogers) is a native
California artist who has had a lifelong
involvement with art, both locally and
internationally. During a 14-year period of living
in the Middle East and traveling extensively
throughout Europe she found inspiration for her
art, and was able to learn from internationally
prominent artists such as Tina Ahmed and
Margaret Henderson. Locally she has studied for
years under well-known American impressionist
Anita Wolff.

Brenda’s studio is located at her home in the
Sierra-Nevada mountains, surrounded by acres
of Cedar and Pine forests. This is the perfect
setting for Brenda to spend her time creating art.

Brenda's art is found in Private and Corporate
collections internationally.

Philosophy:
Brenda uses oil paints and pastels to try and
capture the fleeting impressions of scenes that
captivate her. "I am not trying to reproduce a
photograph in my painting... I want to show
much more than that. I try to put onto canvas
what I feel, and to capture the energy and
beauty of the subject.

Affiliations:
Brenda is a member of Oil Painters of America,
Pastel Society of the West Coast, American
Impressionist Society, and Placerville Art
Association.

Brenda's work is currently being shown at
Gallery 4, Main Street , Placerville.
