Brenda Williams (formerly Rogers) is a native California artist who has had a lifelong involvement with art, both locally and internationally. During a 14-year period of living in the Middle East and traveling extensively through out Europe and the Far East, she found inspiration for her art and was able to take classes and workshops from internationally prominent artists such as Tina Ahmed and Margaret Henderson. Locally, she has studied for over a decade under well-known American Impressionist Anita Wolff.
Brenda's studio is located in downtown Placerville. This is the perfect setting for Brenda to spend her time creating and teaching art. Brenda's art is an expression of her two passions. The first of these is appreciating and recording the natural beauty of the world, be it amazing landscapes, beautiful flowers or interesting faces. The second is a desire to encourage cultural and religious tolerance by starting with the idea that as humans we should look for our similarities rather than our differences. The work is an examination of the question, " What do we need to see in order to bring about peace on this planet?"
