I live near Apple Hill where there are
many apple, peach, pear and cherry tree
orchards. When the trees are
blossoming, it is quite spectacular.

On a recent trip to Ireland I spent some
time in the city of Galway. This remarkably

The pathways at San Juan Capistrano
Mission are lined with gorgeous flowers,
including these Hollyhocks. When the

I love the shapes of these rocks and the

On a trip to San Juan Capistrano Mission

beauty of the huge old Bouganvillas
climbing up the old stone & brick
archways.

Not too far from where I live, in the El
Dorado National Forest is a place where
we have gone canoeing called Gerle
Creek. It is very remote so its beauty is
unspoiled. As the sun sets behind the
mountains , the scene is magnificent with
blues, pinks and golds dancing and
sparkling on the water.

This majestic view is at a friend's house. It is an
amazing thing to enjoy this garden in full bloom!

All throughout Ireland are beautiful

a wonderful little village called
"Ballyvaughan" on the West Coast
of Ireland and that is where I
chanced upon this little scene and
had to paint it!

On a recent trip to the United Arab
Emirates, I fell in love with this scene in
Dubai. It was so relaxing... the sun hitting
the leaves and water, making everything
sparkle as the boat with its colorful shade
added to the exotic feel of the place

To do this Plein-Aire painting of
Jenkinson Lake, I had to load my painting
supplies and easel on a little boat and
row across to the uninhabited side of the
lake in order to capture the light falling on
the trees and water. What a peaceful
morning!
